7 Strategies to Keep Your Productivity Up

You do like your job, but it is hard to force yourself to stay productive all day long. It feels even harder when you find yourself sitting for so long at one time. You have a cup of coffee, but it does not help you to be more productive. So that how can you change things up a little to keep your productivity up?

Here are 7 strategies that you can use to keep you motivated to be productive:

Write Out Daily Task

You must get into the office 15 minutes earlier before you are suppose to start your work. The first thing you have to do is write out a daily list of task and plan out your day before it begins. This will help you to stay focused and on track throughout the day. Do not forget to set out your top three most important tasks to do first.

Allocate Specific Time

After creating your daily list of task, you have to dedicate your first hour to get those tasks done as much as you can. Avoid your email inbox, favorite blogs, social media notifications, and get right to work. It gives you the chance to keep your productivity up. However, if you need to take a break, it is okay to do. But, keep it short and then go back to work. Remember to not spoil yourself out.

Organize Your Email

If you get a lot of correspondence on a daily basis, you can use folders and filters to organize your email inbox. It helps you to find the right mail shortly. You do not need to spend a lot of time to find email from clients or even colleagues.

Shifting Your Focus

Rather than working on a project until it is completed, resolve to work on a project for a set period of time, then change your focus. By shifting your focus between tedious and repetitive task and those that are more engaging, you can keep yourself happily involved in your work all day. This will keep you productive on the same project for long periods of time.

Listen to Music

Music can help you to face the boredom on your work routine. Choose music that helps you focus without distracting you. Low-volume music can drown out noises in the office without interrupting other people around you. The study has found that listening to classical music can increase your IQ. Why don’t you try it?

Do not Forget To Drink Water

Hydration is important for a variety of health reasons. Fill up a personal water bottle and keep it with you all day. Keeping a water bottle by your side will prevent you from having to get up over and over to get more water and ensures that you stay hydrated throughout the day.

Leave Your Desk For Lunch

Having a lunch break away from your desk can disrupt your productivity routine, but it does provide some much-needed relaxation and respite from your work. Enjoy your lunch break and return to your work with renewed energy and focus. Exercising during lunch, even if it is just a quick walk around the park, will also help to keep your energy up.

You can keep your productivity up during work hours if you plan out your day and really think what you are doing at work. By doing this, you can stay focus on your task and finish it on time even you take a rest for a while.
